China-Australia "Internet + Business" Sydney Innovation Forum held

  

China news agency, Sydney, May 18 (Reporter Tao Shelan) The China-Australia "Internet + Business" Sydney Innovation Forum, jointly organized by the Shanghai Municipal Government Business Council and the Australia-China Business Summit, was held in Sydney on the 18th. The forum was held in response to the e-commerce theme in the joint communiqué of the Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit held in Beijing not long ago. The joint communique proposes to strengthen innovation cooperation, support innovative action plans in the fields of e-commerce, digital economy, smart cities, science parks, etc., and encourage the exchange of innovative and entrepreneurial models in the Internet era while respecting intellectual property rights.

At the forum, Li Yue, director of the Shanghai E-Commerce Promotion Center, gave a speech on "The Overview of Shanghai E-Commerce Development in 2016". Nearly 50 Chinese business representatives from e-commerce companies attended the forum to discuss the current status and trends of the China-Australia e-commerce industry. They expressed their willingness to participate in the development of the “Road and Belt” initiative and rely on the “Internet + Business” innovation model to explore cross-border development between China and Australia. E-commerce develops a new path, exchanges and cooperation with Australian e-commerce platforms, shopping malls, service providers and traditional enterprises, establishes a cross-border e-commerce community, and builds an open Sino-Australian “Internet + Business” innovation collaboration and sharing platform.

During the day's activities, the International Conference Company Australia-China Business Summit also signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Promoting China-Australia Information Collaboration and SME Service System Construction with the Shanghai E-Commerce Promotion Center.
